1. See the inside of my locker at the gym a lot more than this year! I still belong to my fancy pants gym that is more for relaxation that working on, but I am happy to report that I joined Burn Boot Camp in June. Now people - this has taken me back to getting up at the crack of dawn, which I am not entirely excited about. But I love the trainer, love the people, and feel this is the change I need.
2. Finish redecorating my cozy home with plush rugs, final bookcases, warm bedding and pictures on the walls. Check for the rugs, check for the bookcases, check for the bedding, and hello... I purchased a vacuum people! More on that another day, but can a person be in love with a vacuum?
3. Take more vitamins, drink more water and eat less French fries. Check on the vitamins.... kinda check on the water as I have cut out all sodas and am just now on tea and water.... and check on the less fries. Now, I am trying to cook at home more.
4. Limit my trips to the Mothership and spend less on things not needed! The budget is still going great. A huge success was when I needed an air conditioner repair... and almost all of it was paid out of cash people. That is complete success!
5. Participate in #chryseveryday2014 on Instagram where I document something good about each day to remind that life really is great no matter the small ups and downs. See previous update. I lasted a month... my life is so not that interesting.
6. Learn that a day with nothing to do is a blessing and don't try to fill it. Yeah still not doing so well with this one... but hey... here we go.
7. Be open to new possibilities. Another one that is hard to define, but I feel like 2014 has been all about new possibilities. Oh, I did learn how to drive a boat. A very expensive boat people. In the most pressure filled situation ever in July. So check the new possibilities.
8. Take some fabulous trips with amazing friends and make incredible memories (using all of my vacation in 2014!) Knoxville, New York, Chicago, New York were in the first quarter. In the second quarter came New York, Boca Raton and Nashville. Third quarter will feature Chicago, Pittsburgh, Atlanta and a farm in South Carolina. And for 4th quarter...working on Florida! CHECK it people!
9. Cook more meals at home and learn to like leftovers. This one comes and goes. As I get in the rhythm of the time of year, it has some ups and downs, but overall it is way better people!
10. Continue my blogging journal journey. Hey this is my journal... so back off! In other words... if I find joy and time, great. If not, that is ok as well.
11. Learn to breathe and relax and not let stress cause health issues. Well... maybe this should be changed to learning to deal with the stress better. How about we try that!
12. Limit my Mexican and queso intake to once a week, not once a day. Oh people... we have made major strides!
13. Triple the amount in my savings account and pay off all my credit cards. Don't want to jinx the progress... so lets just say this is ongoing.
14. Reflect on each day and see the blessings that exist no matter what else is going on. This one is hard to define, but I am trying to stop and enjoy more.
