A long and exciting week

Well this post is being composed on a bus ride back from Atlanta.. And reminds me why on drives over 3 hours I prefer to fly. But it have a great chance to look back on the week in pictures!

My favorite time of the year.

I am happy to report that I am done with my Christmas shopping.  Done.  And I am excited - because it means instead of worrying about fighting the cars for a parking space at the mall, I will be enjoying the Christmas music and .... wrapping.  And this is where the excitement might cease.  I love wrapping and cute bows... on the first 4 presents.  But for the next 40... not so much.  And I want them to look like these... but when you have to pack everything in your car to travel.... they never stay looking like this for long.  But here is to enjoying the last step in the shopping process... wrapping!

This and That.

It has been a crazy few weeks with lots going on - but think that is what this time of year is about!  So a little recap of what has been going on. 

I. Love. Flying.  So this trip was a very special one! 

 

 

Went to see the Bobcats play the Pacers... and support a friend.  That wasn't even at the game.  Now that is a huge level of support if you ask me!

I ventured out to the Southern Christmas Show.  Ummm... I must have been CRAZY to tackle it on a Saturday.  But all was worth it when I hit the  A Bum's Rum Cake booth.  Angels started singing.  YUM!!

One of my favorite tv shows this Fall is Nashville.  I mean how can you not love Connie Britton. And I really love her style in the show.  And no words for her amazing hair.  Okay - enough girl love here.

How amazing are these grey hardwood floors?  I mean LOVE.  The picture didn't really do them justice.  Now here is my question - are these a fad?  And... how hard is it to change hardwood floors?  Thinking I would love to change my to these.  Love!

 

 

No I am not cheating on Kenny.  I mean the boy hasn't been at any awards shows lately... which means I can go to my next go to guy without guilt.  Hello Luke Bryan and the AMA.  Trust me... the only reason I watched.  Some of the rest was just plain weird.  Weird I tell ya!

Nothing like traveling to a warm place in November.  Hello 80 degrees in Miami in November. Love it!  But I will admit at the time I was roasting.  I mean I would have loved it if I was wearing shorts and a tshirt... or by the beach.  But it was HOT!

So.... Thanksgiving again gave me the bug to get a dog.  I mean when Rudy sits on the back of your chair like this... how can you not want a dog??  I wanted to bring him home!!

Pinterest. Project. Complete.

NEVER AGAIN!  Let me say it one more time to remind myself.... NEVER. AGAIN. 

I saw the most amazing wreath on Pinterest (a year ago....) and decided I had to have it for my house.  It looked so simple.  Ummmm..... don't they all!  (you can read more about it here)

Well I am happy to report IT. IS. DONE.  And yes - I love it.  If I become crazy and try to tackle the project again, I might do it in shades of pink like shown.... but who am I kidding... what you see took a year.  Yes you read right... A. YEAR.  So unless I find one to buy - this will be the wreath of all wreaths to me.

I couldn't find a wreath form the size of the one that I originally saw, and boy am I glad now.... this one took long enough!

So... without further adieu.... the finished project.

And so you get an idea of the size... it basically takes up my entire door.  This isn't the final placement for it - but that may take another year.  :)
