Many people complain about the single life... And trust me... It is not all roses... But those weekends where you can take off and not look back are priceless in a single girl's life. So here is to one of my favorite things... And a snapshot of my last weekend!

Favorite Things Friday IV
Let's chat about tv... I can not live without my DVR and go on binges to catch up on my favorite shows. Now, with the world of twitter, some shows are harder than other to not watch live - as lovely social media with definitely ruin it! So check out some of my fave tv shows...(in no order!)
Scandal: This is CAN'T MISS TV people. Imagine West Wing (one of my other faves) mixed with Sex and The City. People... RUN NOW to check this show out!

Revenge: Another great show that takes all of your concentration - or at least the rewind button, because yes - you missed what just happened if you were doing anything other than paying close attention!

Nashville: This show is certainly hitting it's stride at the end of Season 1. But it is getting sooooo good. Now, this was a no brainer for me to love - I mean reference the umpteen posts about me and music and concerts.

Chicago Fire: Now - If I get you hooked on Nashville... well, set your DVR, because Chicago Fire is on at the same time. I know - the drama. But again, good tv peeps!
Now - there are a lot of other tv shows that fill the hours of 11pm - 1am in my life... like most of the Housewives, all the Bachelor/ette/Pad episodes and the lifetime staples of Army Wives and The Client List. But the top 4 are CAN NOT MISS in my book!
Happiness
This is one of the hardest lessons that I need to learn. Quit looking ahead. Quit searching for the next thine. Live in the moment and be content that this is the life you have built and LIVE in it!

The Beach... at 90 MPH
Thank goodness I have a new car and am not constantly worrying about the "Service Engine Soon" light or the gremlin that lived in the dashboard that will send my windshield wipers in a tizzy for no reason. Because last week I think I spent more time driving back and forth to different beaches than I care to count. But out of those drives came time with both of my families.
The first part of the week was spent with my Dad and co. at Myrtle Beach camping. I have really grown to love camping over the years as an adult and would like to own my own camper one day (since a beach house is out of the question!). Something about cooking every meal outside and sitting at night just talking does the soul good.
Scenes from a fun few days (disclaimer on the grilling photo - sorry if you are not a meat person!!!)
I then left Myrtle Beach, after a trip back to work and back again, to head to Ocean Isle Beach for the wedding of my cousin. I agreed to help coordinate the wedding - and it was fun, exhausting and lots of stairs all wrapped up in one weekend. But the best part was helping Meredith realize her dream wedding and see the joy on my Aunt's face as she was married. Because I was busting my #@! working, I didn't get may photos - so I will share more when I steal photos from others! But a few snapshots!
All in all - a great few days spent at two different beaches with family!

Favorite Things Friday III
So anyone who knows me knows that I love a good summer concert. Nothing better than getting lost in the music and letting all of your cares disappear for a night. So... a few of my favorites...
KENNY.... pretty sure for anyone who knows me, this is the understatement of the day by saying "favorite"... I could have put so many photos here, but this one is from a show that will always be my favorite show. Not because it was the best (that would be the Keg show in Winston), or the most memorable (that would be Detroit in 2011), or the first time I actually stood on stage (that would be DFW at Texas Stadium)... but the moment when he took the stage, in my venue, and I helped get all those people in those seats. Truly, I wanted to cry...and think I did. Plus, I watched his opening song with someone who had become a very close friend. A moment I hope I don't forget. (and moments for another post on all the behind-the-scenes fun stuff).
GARTH... and as soon as I can find my 1 stealth photo taken inside the Wynn hotel, I will post it. The. Most. Incredible. Concert. Experience. EVER... and the most expensive!

THE FARM... Well you see the natural when you know that Nick of The Farm spent 10 years on the road with Kenny. So now you see how this group lands on the list. But, their amazing talent and incredible style keeps them on this list. If you haven't heard of them... check them out!
